Please reinstate old format.

The new format is extremely confusing. Maybe I lack imagination? But can you tell me where I am supposed to pick up from the last lesson (に is back)????? As each lesson is built on the knowledge acquired from the previous lessons, I don't see how the format can be anything other than sequential. I am busy and this is extremely frustrating because it is wasting valuable time!!!

Know someone who might be able to answer this question?

The person who came up with the bright idea for this format should really be fired. If I do not see a change within the next few days, I don't see how this will work for me.

Hi there ipsuperstar. We certainly had a bumpy start, that's for sure. But we're listening to EVERYONE'S feedback and we're moving quickly to resolve all issues and improve the flow based on people's feedback.

Totally agree. The new format doesn't work at all. The sequential order of lessons, drills and quizzes is completely lost. Drills don't work well anymore, no play button for listening, points system doesn't fit and they need to be manually selected. I was able to finish a lesson, but had to manually find the according drills. Now the next lesson in my profile doesn't fit with what is written in the classroom so I don't know what to be anymore. Hope someone from the staff is reading those comments because I don't think I will be able to continue here like that.

The audio drills are now properly working. We're restoring the order of lessons/drills/quizzes momentarily.

Was just trying to do some drills and I had no way to do the audio ones. Agree that the site should be rolled back to the old version while these issues are fixed.

Yeah, I would love to go back to the way it was. It was working fine, why change??

There's a few reasons for this, and we certainly had a very bumpy start. We're preparing for more new lessons and new features and the old technology just wasn't keeping up. We've got a backlog of new lessons, better mobile phone support, tools, etc. It's going to be great, I swear. But yes, we are absolutely to blame for the rocky launch. We're working around the clock to release fixes.

Hello everyone, my name is Melinda and I work for Nihongo Master. We are very aware the changes made to Nihongo Master have not been ideal as a learner but we have been working hard based on feedback of users like you. Each and every one of you are heard by the team here at Nihongo Master and we want to make sure you're using a tool that you absolutely love. I will be reaching out individually to hopefully hear more of what you have to say that way we can keep pushing out the changes you want to see.

So far, I can do the lessons and the audio is working correctly. All that needs to be fixed are the lessons progression accuracy and the leveling progression. The lesson progression is still a mess and the leveling progression seems to not be keeping my points from the drills since the new format started. One more thing to be desired is to keep on adding to the advanced lessons until there's enough of them for us to take the N3 test. Looking forward to seeing the expert lessons (N2 lessons) and the master lessons (N1 lessons) in the future.

Yes the lesson progression is improving but still a bit messed up. I now have a “what’s next” box, but it tells me to do the very first lesson. I see that the lessons and drills now seem to be associated but the quiz are still grouped together. Also the lesson order still seems different from the previous version. I have one lesson still to do in a block while some are completed in the folllowing block, so I still don’t know which lesson to do next…

Looks like most of the audio drills have been fixed. I ran into one that was missing the audio player still today.

All audio drills should be resolved now. Please let me know if that is not the case.

I SO agree on this... the new way is not intuitive at all and it's not as fun visually, which was definitely one of the reasons why I first signed up for the program. Please go back to the way it used to be. Before we could see our next lesson right away... I trust that you will fix this. Thank you!

We re-added the what's next behavior. Let us know if you have any issues with it.

I can't find where I left off! I don't even know if that lesson still exists in the way I left it, to be honest. My sections now say I have 6/6 this and 6/6 that, but I'm only at 40% somehow? I am seriously considering leaving this platform for another since for me it's been one problem after another (first subscribing in CAD (had to do USD with no help for weeks), the kanji practice sheets just refused to work (might still), and now I can't even find my lesson). I love the way the lessons flow but this is so unintuitive I am going to start looking around :(

Hi Team,

I'm the founder and I absolutely 100% read each of your comments.  We're looking to resolve as many issues as possible as we prepare for the next "phase" of the classroom which will significantly make things better.  All the audio drills should now properly be working.  We're looking at re-instating the previous lesson order, but in the new skill format.  This will make it easier to use.
